Were you ever the last few to finish 1500m at school, in the snow, a few hours after [daughter of famous footballer] has already made her way home? Why on earth have I chosen to run 5000m for fun? I must be mad, join me...

STAMINA STAMINA STAMINA

DAY 46:

Orkee, after blogging earlier I went upstairs set up a little radio to blast out the local station. Being Friday night, plenty of dancey boppy tunes on, good.

Set an average pace & walked steadily with bursts for songs I liked (chemical bros, mylo, the lady boy is mine etc). Didn't get very far according to treadmill but I was pleased about keeping up a fair pace throughtout. Aim now is stamina rather than speed.
Stats just for consistency:

2.5k (T) / 45:45
TTT = 91:30

not bad. Especially since I know on real surfaces I go much quicker than that. It's looking good. Would have carried on longer but was dinner time. John came upstairs to tell me & I admit, I'm a lot fitter than when I started 7 weeks ago.
